This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

You will be providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Trauma and attachment-related needs
  • Communication and sensory processing difficulties
  • Complex behavioural needs that require a calm, consistent and nurturing approach

Every day is different, and your role will involve building positive relationships, supporting learning activities, promoting independence, encouraging communication and helping pupils regulate their emotions in a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure every child receives the individual support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

What We're Looking For

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle (essential due to school locations).
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to providing consistency for pupils.
  • Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.

  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Able to adapt their approach to meet each child's individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Excellent communicators with strong teamwork skills.
  • Willing to learn and undertake additional SEN training where required.

Previous experience working within education, care, youth work, residential settings, support work, healthcare or mental health is highly desirable. However, we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
