Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for children in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2).
- Ensure a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages the development of key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Assess pupil progress regularly and use this data to inform future planning and provide appropriate support.
- Create engaging, hands-on activities to support both academic learning and social-emotional development.
- Manage classroom behavior in a positive and inclusive manner, ensuring all pupils feel safe and respected.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the children\’s development.
- Communicate with parents and carers regularly to keep them informed of their child\’s progress.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and trips to further enrich the students\’ learning experience.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in Years 1 & 2, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the ability to differentiate lessons for different learning abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A creative and patient approach to teaching, with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
