We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Kempston supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and associated behavioural challenges. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in SEND settings, mainstream schools, or SEND units who is confident supporting learners with a wide range of needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for students with ASC, PMLD, and complex behavioural needs
  • Assist in managing emotional regulation and support de-escalation where required
  • Help students transition calmly between environments and activities throughout the school day
