lookingutor (QTS Required) - Islington, London Location: Islington, North London Contract: Short/Long-term Start date: ASAP (Ongoing) About the role Aspire People is lookinh to recruit a experienced ESOL Tutors. You'll teach learners whose first language is not English, helping them build confidence and develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You'll deliver classes to groups at a range of levels, with some small-group and one-to-one support where needed.Thisi is hybrid timetable consisting of 2 hours in a classroom and the remainder online. Key responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons across Entry Level and Level 1-2 Carry out initial and ongoing assessment of learners' English language skills Prepare learners for ESOL qualifications and exams Track progress and maintain accurate records and individual learning plans Adapt resources and teaching approaches to suit mixed-ability groups and diverse learner backgrounds Support learners with everyday English, employability skills and integration into the community Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment About you Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential Experience teaching ESOL is highly desirable A recognised TEFL/CELTA or ESOL subject-specific qualification is advantageous Strong knowledge of language acquisition and effective ESOL teaching strategies Excellent communication and classroom management skills A patient, creative and encouraging approach A genuine commitment to inclusion and learner wellbeing Existing UK right to work and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) What we offer Competitive daily rates Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement Access to a wide network of education providers across London Free CPD and training opportunities Quick, straightforward registration Refer-a-friend bonus Aspire People is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
