This role offers the chance to lead, support, and inspire young learners across the school.
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide targeted classroom support across Key Stage 1 and/or 2
- Take responsibility for leading small group interventions and occasionally delivering whole‑class lessons under teacher direction
- Support teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment activities
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
- Use initiative to manage behaviour, support learning, and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support academic and social development
- Uphold school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety procedures at all times

- Hold HLTA status or demonstrate equivalent experience and readiness to lead learning
- Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for working with children
