Aspire People are recruiting! Aspire People have partnered with a primary school in Hinckley who are looking for a dedicated and experienced Primary Intervention Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and has experience providing targeted support to pupils who require additional help with their learning.

About the Role

As a Primary Intervention Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver focused support to pupils across the primary age range, helping them build confidence and make progress in key areas of learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions
  • Supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy development
  • Helping children overcome barriers to learning
  • Supporting pupils who require additional academic support
  • Delivering targeted interventions set by teaching staff
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Building positive relationships with pupils
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement
  • Supporting classroom activities where required
  • Working closely with teachers and school staff

We’re Looking For

Previous experience working with children is essential. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working within a primary school setting
  • Be confident delivering interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Have a good understanding of literacy and numeracy support
  • Be patient, encouraging and supportive
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be organised and reliable
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Be committed to helping children make progress
  • Be available to work Monday-Friday, 5 days a week
