Overview
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Aspire People are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Kings Norton. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the school, covering classes to provide teacher release time (PPA cover) and delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress across the school.
Responsibilities
- Providing whole-class cover during teacher release time
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with school expectations
- Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions to support learning
- Supporting pupils' academic progress and engagement
- Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders
- Maintaining positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Hold HLTA status (or equivalent experience)
- Have experience working across the primary age range
- Be confident covering classes independently
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be proactive, flexible, and reliable
