Our school is a welcoming and inclusive community where children are inspired to be curious, resilient and confident learners. We value teamwork, professional development and creating a positive environment in which both staff and pupils thrive.

The Role:

As our HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers and senior leaders, you will deliver high-quality learning experiences, lead whole-class teaching when required, and provide targeted support to individuals and groups of pupils.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support pupils to make excellent progress through high-quality interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate learning activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for all pupils.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring an inclusive approach.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in school events and enrichment activities.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds HLTA status or has equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Has successful experience of supporting teaching and learning in a primary school.
  • Is confident leading whole-class learning across different year groups.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.

We Offer:

  • A welcoming and supportive three-form entry school with a strong sense of community.
  • Friendly, experienced and dedicated colleagues.
  • Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Well-resourced learning environments.
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance.
  • Enthusiastic, polite and motivated pupils who enjoy learning.

Safeguarding:

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
