Aspire People are currently recruiting graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants across schools in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in education and build valuable skills for a future career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, social work or other people-focused professions.
I work closely with multiple schools and MATs across North Staffordshire, giving graduates access to a variety of SEN opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs
- Helping pupils engage with their learning and develop confidence
- Working alongside teachers and SEN staff
- Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Helping create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- A university degree or equivalent qualification
- A genuine interest in working with children and young people
- Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills
- A patient, positive and approachable personality
- Someone who is reliable, proactive and willing to learn
