Our partner secondary schools in Leeds are seeking Graduate Learning Mentors to join them in the new academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for driven graduates considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or youth work.
We work with a diverse range of inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Leeds. These schools are committed to raising aspirations and supporting students from a variety of backgrounds, including those from disadvantaged or underrepresented communities.

As a Graduate Learning Mentor, you'll provide academic and emotional support to students who may be struggling to engage with their learning. Working under the guidance of teaching staff, you'll support pupils in 1:1 or small group sessions, helping them build confidence and overcome barriers to success.
There is structured onboarding and ongoing support from both the school and Aspire People. We offer access to training, CPD, and future teacher training pathways.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning, engagement, and behaviour
- Deliver tailored intervention sessions in core subjects (English, Maths, etc.)
- Assist in planning activities and tracking student progress
- Mentor students with additional learning needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Requirements:
- A recent graduate (2:1 or above) in any academic subject from a top UK university
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for education
- Resilient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Prior experience with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, volunteering) is desirable
- Committed to a long-term role in education
