Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a flexible role within primary education? We are currently seeking Primary HLTAs to provide short-term and day-to-day support across a range of primary schools in Bedford and the surrounding villages. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue supporting pupils' learning and development while enjoying the variety and flexibility of working across different school settings, without the long-term commitment of a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
- Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils' academic progress, wellbeing, and engagement
- Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups, and classroom settings
- Uphold high standards of behaviour, professionalism, and safeguarding
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential)
- Experience working within UK primary schools
- Confidence supporting learning across the primary age range
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A flexible, professional, and proactive approach
- An understanding of SEND and the ability to adapt support as required
