Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality EYFS education and care, following the curriculum and supporting children\βs learning.
Work closely with individual children and small groups to provide tailored support and ensure progress.
Support children with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, promoting positive behavior and building self-confidence.
Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
Support the assessment and tracking of children\βs progress, contributing to the development of individual learning plans.
Help with classroom organization, ensuring that materials and resources are easily accessible and well-maintained.
Engage in observations and assessments to provide valuable feedback on children\βs progress to the teacher and parents.
Assist with lunchtime and break time supervision, ensuring children are safe and well-cared for.
Key Requirements:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ, or equivalent) is essential.
Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is required.
Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the developmental needs of young children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
A positive, patient, and caring approach to supporting children\βs development.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
