Location: Blunham, Bedfordshire

Rate: £90 - £105 per day (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Short-term cover during SATs period (with potential for extension)

Are you a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking to support a charming village school during a key time in the academic calendar? We are working on behalf of a warm and welcoming Primary School in Blunham, Bedfordshire, who are seeking a confident TA to provide additional support around SATs season.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing team in a beautiful rural setting, where every child is known and valued. The school is proud of its inclusive and supportive ethos, and they are looking for someone who shares their passion for learning and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support across KS1 and KS2, particularly around SATs preparation and assessment periods.
  • Offer tailored 1:1 or small group support, including for children with SEN.
  • Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, supporting both learning and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and wider team to ensure pupils are ready and confident during testing.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and calm under pressure - with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Adapt to the needs of the school - including moving to different classes throughout the school day to provide the support required.

Key Requirements:

  • NVQ or CACHE Level 2 (or above) in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in UK Primary schools (essential).
  • Experience supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis is highly beneficial.
  • A full UK driver's license is essential due to the rural location of the school.
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
