Are you a passionate and resilient Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive specialist school environment? We are working with a fantastic school in Milton Keynes that caters for up to 66 pupils with a range of identified needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Communication and Interaction difficulties, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Complex Needs, ADHD, and associated challenges. The school's Secondary Provision (ages 11-16) supports pupils with ASC and provides a structured, nurturing environment where staff are genuinely supported and pupils are encouraged to thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with additional needs
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of learning styles and emotional needs
  • Work collaboratively with LSAs, support staff, and the wider school team
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews, reports, and EHCP outcomes
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and confidence

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) in the UK
  • Experience teaching in the UK (essential)
  • Experience working with SEMH, ASC, or pupils with additional needs (highly desirable)
  • A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
