About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school team in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will inspire and engage secondary school students across Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS3 & KS4), delivering creative and high-quality lessons that foster a love for literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school students.
  • Inspire students to achieve their potential in both written and spoken English.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and learning.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Passionate about teaching and helping students succeed.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 is preferred but not essential.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Available to start immediately.
