This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, work closely with experienced teachers, and develop the skills needed for future teacher training. You will assist with lessons, provide targeted support to students, and may be required to step into a Teaching Assistant and English Intervention role.
Key Responsibilities- Support teachers within the English department across KS1 and KS2
- Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students in reading, writing, and analysis
- Assist in preparing resources and promoting a positive learning environment
- Help encourage engagement and progress in English lessons
- Take on occasional cover responsibilities, delivering pre-set work to classes
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
- A degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related subject
