Are you passionate about supporting early years education and helping young children thrive in their first year of school? A welcoming primary school in Altrincham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team from September 2025 through July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Supporting the class teacher and pupils in a Reception classroom
- Helping deliver engaging, play-based learning activities
- Providing 1:1 or small group support as needed
- Supporting children with early reading, phonics, and social development
- Assisting with daily routines, including snack time, outdoor play, and classroom transitions
Qualifications
- Experience working with EYFS-aged children (preferred)
- A positive, nurturing, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
- A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and wellbeing
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable but not essential
