We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and welcoming primary school in Ware. This is a temporary position, with the role running until Christmas, and will provide invaluable experience in supporting the development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons for EYFS children.
- Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Helping with the preparation of learning resources and activities.
- Providing one-on-one support to children, both academically and emotionally.
- Assisting with assessments and tracking the progress of students.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children with their social and emotional development.
Essential Requirements:
- DBS on the update service (this is a must).
- Relevant EYFS qualifications (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent).
- Recent employment references.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (Right to Work documentation required).
- Experience working with children, ideally in an early years setting.
- A friendly, patient, and caring nature with a passion for working with young children.
Desirable but not essential:
- Paediatric first aid qualification.
- Experience in supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN).
