Do you believe that children learn best when they feel safe, happy, and inspired? Are you someone who can turn a puddle into a learning opportunity, a sandpit into a story, and a simple walk into a world of discovery? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming nursery team within a well-respected primary school in Bedford. The nursery is part of a thriving school community that values curiosity, kindness, and the joy of learning - and where every child is seen, heard, and supported to flourish. Whether you’re newly qualified or bringing years of experience, if you’re ready to make a difference in a nurturing and inclusive setting, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

You’ll play an important part in shaping a positive early learning experience for children aged 3-4, helping them develop essential social, emotional and communication skills through play, exploration and structured learning. As part of the wider school community, you’ll work closely with families and staff to ensure children feel secure, confident and eager to learn. Your responsibilities will include supporting daily routines, contributing to planning and observations, promoting children’s independence, and maintaining a safe and caring environment. Strong communication, creativity and a good sense of humour are all a must.

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised qualification – CACHE/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Childhood Studies (or equivalent)
  • A warm, positive approach and genuine love for working with young children
  • A team player who values strong relationships with families and colleagues
  • Someone who’s not afraid to get messy, sing out of tune or be part of a superhero game
  • A calm and consistent presence, with the confidence to support a range of learning styles and behaviours

Why This School

  • A nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is valued
  • A strong commitment to working in partnership with families
  • A team that celebrates curiosity, creativity and personal growth
