Maintenance Worker (School Sites - Ealing & Hayes)

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dedicated facilities team, supporting two school sites located in Ealing and Hayes.
This is a varied and rewarding role that is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will work across both sites, carrying out a range of maintenance and site duties, with occasional responsibility for driving the school's minibus.
Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and decorating across both school sites.
Undertake routine inspections to ensure buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe and well maintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for school events and activities.
Maintain the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking buildings where required.
Monitor and report maintenance issues, ensuring they are resolved efficiently.
Liaise with external contractors and support planned maintenance works.
Carry out basic grounds maintenance and ensure outdoor areas remain safe and tidy.
Occasionally drive the school minibus for educational visits, sporting events, or other school activities, as required.
Comply with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding requirements, and school policies.
The Successful Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a maintenance, caretaking, facilities, or building services role.
Practical skills across a range of maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and repairs.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A flexible and positive approach to work across two school locations.
A full, clean UK driving licence.
Confidence and willingness to drive a school minibus when required (training can be provided if necessary).
An understanding of health and safety practices within a school or similar environment is desirable.
