Aspire People are delighted to be working in partnership with a large and well-established nursery group to recruit an ambitious, passionate and dynamic Deputy Nursery Manager for one of their welcoming nurseries in Stourbridge.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day leadership and management of a high-quality nursery.

The nursery provides a homely, caring and nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, offering flexible sessions throughout the year, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager and wider team to ensure children receive outstanding care, learning and development opportunities, while supporting staff to reach their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the nursery.
  • Creating safe, stimulating and inclusive environments where every child can thrive.
  • Planning and supporting the delivery of engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing team members to reach their potential.
  • Building positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and the wider community.
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare and child wellbeing.
  • Supporting the nursery team to deliver consistently high standards of care and education.
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment for staff and children.
  • Assisting with compliance, policies, procedures and quality improvement across the nursery.

What We're Looking For

  • Passionate about providing outstanding care and education for young children.
  • An experienced early years practitioner with previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Confident supporting and developing a team.
  • Knowledgeable and confident in applying the EYFS framework.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Organised, proactive and able to work effectively in a busy nursery environment.
  • Ambitious and motivated to develop their own career within early years.
  • A positive role model who leads by example.
