Are you looking for a new challenge as a Resistant Materials Teacher in Stratford? We are recruiting a creative and dynamic Resistant Materials Teacher to work full-time in one of our popular growing schools in Stratford, required September 2024. The ideal candidate must have classroom experience with handing behaviour and have strong safeguarding knowledge. This role will be temporary with the potential to turn permanent. You will be teaching KS3 and KS4, completing course work and preparing students for exams.

Job Details:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that engage and challenge students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach practical skills related to design and resistant materials techniques.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
  • Set clear and achievable learning objectives, regularly assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Utilise various teaching methods and resources to adapt to different learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching resistant materials.
  • Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are well‑maintained and accessible for students.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, such as clubs or workshops.

Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR Equivalent.
  • Have good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Experience in handling different materials and equipment.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Innovative and resourceful teaching methods.
