Teaching Assistant - SEND School
Location: Scunthorpe

Salary: £100-£105 per day

Aspire People is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Scunthorpe from September. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
Working Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm (staff training and development)
This supportive school follows a tiered approach to supporting both pupils and staff. You won't be expected to know everything from day one - you'll receive ongoing guidance, training, and support from an experienced team who are committed to helping you succeed.
We're looking for candidates with experience in:
- Schools or educational settings
- Nurseries or early years environments
- Residential or supported living settings
- Care work
- Supporting vulnerable adults
- Supporting children or young people with additional needs
If you have transferable skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for supporting others, we'd love to hear from you.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be patient, caring, and resilient
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Be adaptable and willing to learn
- Have experience supporting individuals with additional needs or vulnerable people (preferred but not essential)
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
