Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work across primary and SEN school settings in Bury. This is a class-based role supporting pupils across a range of year groups, with a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
The Role
- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver individual support plans
- Leading small group interventions and offering 1:1 support where required
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion within the classroom
Requirements
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
- Previous experience working in a school-based TA role
- Strong SEN experience is essential
- Confidence working across different primary age groups
- A patient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting learning
Desirable
- Experience across multiple key stages (EYFS-KS2)
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Team Teach or similar behaviour training (advantageous but not essential)
