As an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students who have a range of learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and physical disabilities. You will provide personalised support tailored to the individual needs of each student, ensuring they receive a high-quality education in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons for students with various SEN needs.
  • Develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in collaboration with parents, the SENCO, and other professionals.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods to ensure effective learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting emotional and social development.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants, ensuring they are well-equipped to support students.
  • Liaise with parents, caregivers, and outside agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

  • Qualified: You should hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification and have experience teaching students with SEN.
