Aspire People are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with both academic work and social development
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting preferred)
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for education and supporting SEN pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
