Aspire People are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with both academic work and social development

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting preferred)
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting SEN pupils
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
