Teaching Assistant (SEND) - Special School (Cardiff) 12-Month Contract | Starting September | Via Aspire People

Aspire People are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding special school in Cardiff, working with pupils aged 4-11 with a range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This is a long-term opportunity starting in September, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN.

The Role:

  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assist with tailored learning activities
  • Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff
  • Personal care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a regulated childcare/education setting OR Relevant childcare/education qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Calm, patient, and committed approach
  • SEN experience desirable but not essential
