ICT Cover Supervisor Needed - Cardiff Secondary School - September 2026 Start!
Are you confident using technology and passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? We are recruiting an enthusiastic ICT Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in ICT, education, training, or youth work who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
You will support pupils across ICT lessons, delivering pre-set work and helping students stay engaged, focused and confident with their learning. Whether you are an aspiring teacher, graduate, experienced Cover Supervisor, or an ICT professional looking to move into education, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
- Supervise ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities
- Support pupils with their ICT tasks and digital skills
- Manage classroom behaviour positively and confidently
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation
- Work alongside teaching staff to support learning and progress
Who We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people is essential (school, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, volunteering or similar)
- Strong ICT knowledge and confidence using technology
- Confident managing a classroom environment
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Welsh-speaking desirable but not essential
- EWC registration or willingness to obtain registration
