Overview
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and dedicated primary school in Burntwood. Responsibilities
- Support the teaching and learning of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, helping to create a stimulating and inclusive classroom.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement learning activities, assess student progress, and assist with classroom management.
Expectations of the Successful Candidate
- Experience working in a primary school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1.
- Ability to support and assist children both individually and in small groups.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Ability to develop and implement interventions to support the learning of children who may require additional support.
- Be proactive in supporting students with their social and emotional development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
What is Required
- Experience in supporting children in an educational environment, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be beneficial.
