We are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Manchester seeking a committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September. This role is ideal for a teacher who can build upon children's Early Years experiences and support them through this important transition into Key Stage 1.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning.
- Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into the National Curriculum.
- Deliver high-quality phonics teaching and early reading interventions.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.
- Monitor pupil progress through ongoing assessment and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Create a positive, well-managed classroom where children feel safe and motivated.
- Work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching in KS1 (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
- Has a good understanding of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc.
- Can deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Is committed to supporting every child's academic and personal development.
