Aspire People are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs within a primary school setting. This role would suit someone with a nurturing approach who understands that every child learns differently and is passionate about creating an environment where all pupils feel supported, valued, and able to succeed. You'll play an important role in helping children develop not only academically but also socially and emotionally.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs
- Providing both 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day
- Delivering intervention sessions to support learning and emotional development
- Helping pupils access classroom activities and the wider curriculum
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support
The Ideal Candidate:
- Recent experience working within a UK primary school in the last 2 years
- Previous experience supporting SEND and/or SEMH pupils
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
