Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a primary school setting.
This role would suit an HLTA-qualified candidate, or someone with an equivalent level of experience and background who is ready to take on additional responsibility within a school.
The Role
- Supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase
- Leading small-group interventions and learning activities
- Delivering lessons or covering classes when required
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Working alongside teachers to plan and adapt learning
- Supporting behaviour and positive classroom routines
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
- Providing guidance and support to other Teaching Assistants
- Taking responsibility for specific areas of provision where required
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience/background
- Strong experience working within a UK primary school
- Confident leading groups and supporting teaching and learning
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passionate about supporting pupil progress
