We are currently recruiting a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in primary SEN settings. This role is ideal for an experienced and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Supporting pupils within a Primary SEN or PRU setting
  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • Experience in Primary schools, SEN schools or PRUs essential
  • Confident supporting challenging behaviour
  • Calm, resilient and patient approach
  • Relevant TA or care experience preferred
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
