Year 5 Teacher
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Hours: 5 days per week (may be flexible)
Term: October - July
A wonderful school in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full‑time position. The successful candidate will take full class responsibility, supported by a strong teaching team, a welcoming senior leadership team, and a vibrant, caring school community.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 pupils.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Work closely with support staff to ensure every child achieves their best.
- Maintain effective classroom management and contribute positively to team working.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
- Understanding of child protection, safeguarding policy and procedure.
- Ability to identify and target specific, individual needs.
- Dedication to raising educational standards.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable
- Creative, reflective, and committed to primary education.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment by motivating pupils with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation.
- Innovative in planning and delivering lessons.
- Experience with IT systems and interactive whiteboards.
- Commitment to equality and diversity integration.
