Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the B17 area of Birmingham for a Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their team for the new academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during an important stage of their primary education, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their full potential.

Working alongside the class teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

The Role

  • Support the Year 4 class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help pupils make excellent progress.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and the organisation of learning resources.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support the school's behaviour policy.
  • Help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Support children with a range of learning needs to access the curriculum.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
  • Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils is desirable.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have suitable experience.
