Aspire People is currently working with a number of nursery schools across North Birmingham who are looking for passionate and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join their teams.

These opportunities are ideal for Early Years professionals looking for term-time-only work, with consistent school hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children within a welcoming nursery school environment.

You will work alongside experienced Early Years staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating setting where children feel supported and encouraged to learn and develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Provide high-quality care and support for children aged 0-5.
  • Assist with engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication, and social development.
  • Support children's individual needs, interests, and stages of development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding and nursery school policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification - essential.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • A caring, patient, and positive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A reliable and professional approach to work.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing.
