Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Aspire People is recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the B93 area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in education, youth work, care, support work, or behaviour mentoring.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Building positive relationships to help pupils engage with learning
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored support
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
We Are Looking For
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed
- SEMH/SEN experience is desirable but not essential
