The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception‑aged pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role will also involve supporting the child with toileting and personal care, therefore applicants must be comfortable carrying out intimate care duties in a respectful and dignified manner.

  • Previous experience supporting children with ASD and additional needs
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging behaviour
  • The ability to build a positive and trusting relationship with a child who requires consistent support
  • Experience with de‑escalation strategies and supporting children with sensory and emotional regulation needs
  • Confidence in providing personal care and toileting support
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work closely with the class teacher and SEND team

In return, you will receive:

  • A rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in a child's educational journey
  • A welcoming and supportive school environment
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant
  • Competitive rates of pay

This role would suit a caring and committed Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and understands the importance of consistency, patience, and positive relationships.
