Aspire People is seeking a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Mentor to support students in a specialist setting in Acocks Green. This full‑time role is available immediately, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Role Overview
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group emotional and behavioural support
- Help pupils develop coping strategies, self‑regulation, and confidence
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning
- Build strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable young people
- Contribute to behaviour plans, wellbeing interventions, and EHCP targets

- Experience supporting young people with SEMH or mental health needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
