Aspire People is seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Birmingham from September. This rewarding role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with pupils who require additional support, providing guidance both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions.
- Support pupils with social, emotional, behavioural, and learning needs.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, resilience, and engagement.
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff, and parents to support pupil progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children in a primary school, childcare, youth work, mentoring, or a similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's wellbeing and development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
