We are working on behalf of a well-regarded school to recruit an experienced Finance Manager who has proven experience working within a school or educational setting. This role is ideal for someone who understands school finance systems, budget pressures, and the importance of compliance within education.
This is a key leadership role, supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team by overseeing the school's financial operations and ensuring funds are managed effectively to support student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the day-to-day financial management of the school
- Prepare, monitor, and report on school budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with ESFA, local authority, and audit requirements
- Manage payroll, purchasing, and supplier payments
- Produce clear financial reports for governors and senior leaders
- Support strategic financial planning and funding decisions
- Line-manage finance or admin staff where applicable
- Have previous finance experience within a school or trust (essential)
- Be confident working with school finance systems and education funding
