This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with a strong commitment to high standards, inclusive learning, and staff development.
About the Role
We are seeking a confident and inspirational English Teacher to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be expected to plan, deliver, and assess learning in line with the national curriculum, while also supporting pupils' personal and academic development. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, and is ideal for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and challenging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Contribute to the development of the English department
- Attend staff meetings, parent consultations, and CPD sessions
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) β essential
- Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge across the English curriculum
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
