Aspire People are recruiting a Creative Arts Teacher for a specialist SEMH school in the B14 area. We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Creative Arts Teacher to engage and motivate students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference through creative and therapeutic learning experiences.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Creative Arts lessons to secondary-aged students
- Encourage creativity, self-expression and confidence through art-based learning
- Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH needs
- Create a positive, structured and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with pastoral teams and support staff to promote student progress
Requirements:
- QTS, QTLS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Creative Arts, Art & Design, Performing Arts or a related subject
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Experience working with SEMH students is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
