Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time, 5 Days Per Week
Setting: Primary School
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
- Assisting with learning activities to promote engagement and progress.
- Supporting children's emotional, social and academic development.
- Implementing strategies and interventions in line with EHCPs where required.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous SEN experience in a primary school setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient, adaptable and caring approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
