Aspire People are currently recruiting for an ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming school in Harborne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and compassionate TA who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with ASD on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Assisting with learning, communication and social development
  • Implementing strategies to meet individual needs
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with ASD
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Patient, caring and adaptable approach
  • Relevant TA or SEN qualifications are desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
