Role: Behaviour Mentor | Location: Hinckley | Contract Type: Full-time (5 days a week) | Salary: £95 – £100 per day | Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Aspire People are looking for an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a primary school in Hinckley. In this role, you will be providing 1:1 support to a child who requires assistance in managing their behaviour and improving their attention span in class.

  • Providing 1:1 support to a child with behavioural difficulties, focusing on improving attention and managing behaviour
  • Using de-escalation techniques to help the child stay calm and engaged in lessons
  • Implementing personalised behaviour strategies to encourage positive outcomes and emotional regulation
  • Supporting the child with social skills development and fostering positive relationships with peers
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed
  • Helping the child feel more confident and included in classroom activities
  • Recording observations and progress and providing feedback to the teaching team

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally in a behaviour or SEN role
  • Experience supporting children with behaviour challenges, ideally in a 1:1 capacity
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies
  • A calm, empathetic approach and the ability to remain patient in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to think on your feet to support the child effectively
