Behaviour Intervention Lead needed in Solihull, Birmingham

Join our agency team and work in a supportive Alternative Provision supporting students aged 11‑16 with SEMH needs, ASD, attachment disorders and behavioural needs.
Location: Solihull
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement
About the Role
As the Behaviour Intervention Lead, you'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders to support students whose behaviour presents barriers to learning. You'll implement behaviour strategies, deliver targeted interventions and help students develop emotional regulation, resilience and positive coping strategies. Your ability to remain calm, build trust and model positive behaviour will play a key role in helping students achieve successful outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people displaying challenging behaviour
- Background in education, Alternative Provision, youth work, mentoring or children’s services
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and de‑escalate situations effectively
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
- A resilient, patient and proactive approach
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience supporting students with SEMH, ASD or attachment needs
- Training in restorative practice or de‑escalation techniques
- Previous Alternative Provision or PRU experience
- Behaviour management or pastoral leadership experience
