Are you a patient, resilient and compassionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a deeply rewarding role? Do you have the confidence and emotional intelligence to support young women who have experienced significant trauma and adversity?

If you’re passionate about helping every learner feel safe, supported and able to access education, we’d love to hear from you.

Aspire People is working in partnership with a highly specialised provision in Bedfordshire, dedicated to supporting young women who are currently unable to attend mainstream education. These students have experienced various forms of disruption in their early lives, which often present as strong emotional, behavioural and attachment needs, as well as a mistrust of authority figures.

Class sizes are small (maximum of 10 students) and individual ability levels vary depending on personal circumstances. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, engage with learning and build positive relationships. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent, calm and nurturing support throughout the school day.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND or trauma-related needs
  • The ability to support learning both in and out of the classroom, including one-to-one and small group work
  • A calm, emotionally attuned approach to behaviour and regulation
  • The confidence to set and maintain clear, supportive boundaries
  • A willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A valid driving licence (essential, due to the location of the provision)

Why Join This School?

  • Be part of a warm, close-knit and supportive team
  • Work in small classes where you can make a genuine difference every day
  • Take on a role that is challenging, meaningful and highly rewarding
  • Access ongoing training, CPD and professional support through the school and Aspire People

This is more than just a support role - it’s an opportunity to help some of the most vulnerable young women feel safe, valued and ready to learn again.
