Aspire People are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support a mainstream primary school in the Stoke area in a long term role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of lessons and structured learning activities.
- Supporting with the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans.
- Help maintain a positive classroom environment and behaviour management strategies.
- Supervising pupils during curriculum activities under teacher guidance.
- Providing feedback on pupil progress and achievements.
- Assisting with planning, preparation, and administrative tasks to support the class teacher.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience supporting children's learning in an educational setting (experience with speech and language interventions is desirable).
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance (or equivalent).
- Have literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
- Are confident using ICT to support learning and track pupil progress.
