Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and challenging behaviour? We are working with welcoming and supportive schools across Torfaen who are seeking confident and proactive Behaviour Specialist ALN Teaching Assistants to join their teams this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference, building positive relationships with pupils, and helping learners overcome barriers to education.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of ALN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
- Delivering tailored interventions to support learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Implementing positive behaviour management strategies and supporting emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to create a supportive learning environment
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviour
We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an ALN/SEN setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- The ability to build positive relationships and act as a positive role model
- A proactive and adaptable attitude with a genuine passion for supporting young people
